Alfredo was admitted to the Costa Rican Bar Association in 1995.

In 1996, he was sworn in as a Notary Public, and continues to serve as a Notary.
Since 1994, Alfredo began planning the strategy of the organizational structure required to open NCC law firm, of which he is a founding partner and has been the director since its beginnings.

Alfredo visualized NCC law firm as a client-oriented law firm, that strives for professional excellence and personalized service, together with the highest ethical values, respect for others and with a friendly working environment.

He has personally been involved in the selection of all attorneys and support staff for the firm, because he believes that the team of professionals is the most important aspect to be able to achieve the fulfillment of the firm´s philosophy and organizational structure.

Alfredo has always sought for the members of the firm to have warmth and compassion as a fundamental pillar of the firm´s structure, and has strived to empower team members by developing their strengths and improving their weaknesses, thus supporting the team’s personal growth as a means to achieve excellence. Values such as responsibility, high quality relationships, respect, ethics, professionalism and professional excellence have always been the fundamental pillars on which Alfredo has based his staffing decisions.

From the beginning, Alfredo envisioned NCC law firm as a large family made up of attorneys, staff members and clients, with close mutually satisfying relationships between all. At NCC, clients always come before personal interests, which has generated valuable long-term relationships.

Throughout his professional career he has served as a leading legal advisor in fields such as Corporate, Commercial and Civil Law, Local as well as foreign investment, infrastructure, real estate transactions, contracts, dealings with Government entities, and is skilled at structuring business transactions, as a result of his personal experience as an entrepreneur in various fields. In addition, he stands out as a litigator with ample experience in litigation in the following areas: Civil, Commercial, Administrative, white collar crimes, Arbitration, and other. Clients consider Alfredo to be a highly skilled negotiations nd deal-making.

Alfredo is committed to learning and to developing high quality processes for the improvement and expansion of the services provided by the firm. He has instilled in his team discipline and professional development through continuous training, always from a human-centered perspective from which service relationships of high quality and excellence can evolve.
He has formed teams with many local and international law firms to settle conflicts of various kinds, as well as to achieve acquisitions and mergers of large transnational corporations and in complex litigation matters.

In his leadership as the firm’s director, he stresses that the firm´s most important asset is the client.
